Silver bearing solder is made up of three alloys, tin copper and silver. These work because it has a low melt point allowing me to use a soldering iron to sculpt the shapes I desire.
this metal is is not %100 tarnish resistant and it will go dull over time of worn consistently and in the water. It can repolished with a polishing cloth or you can clean it with burninshing liquid water and an old toothbrush. If tarnishing is severe send me a message and we can work out a way to send it back for deep cleaning.
aluminum jump rings hold their polish well, and can be cleaned with soapy water if needed.
the reason I use aluminum is because I like to keep items lightweight this way to counterbalance the metal pendants, and because they are easier on my hands (I have arthritis). It also helps me keep costs down for the time being, I prefer to try and be affordable to more people. Upon request I can use other metals for jumprings but I find aluminum to be rather hypoallergenic, having worn it extensively myself but also my partner who has most of the metal allergies that you can have.
Send an email or a dm with any questions and I am happy to answer and work anything out!
